About
Development

Some student volunteer charities see their work as a great experience for the student and don't invest the time in putting the work in context, questioning the structural realities that lead to poverty and inequality, and promoting wider discussion of such issues. ODA is different. We believe that although we are a student charity we have a responsibility to do our work properly: for ourselves, for the communities we work in, and for a healthier and more just world.

In this section you'll find an introduction to development as a discipline, a range of articles on topics ranging from AIDS to trade, the environment to water scarcity. Have a read, and then use our resource directions to find out more. And, if you disagree with what you read or just want to contribute new topics and ideas then drop us a line and write an article.
